BlackBerry® for MTS customers

MTS Ukraine, a wholly owned subsidiary of OAO Mobile TeleSystems (NYCE: MBT) and Alcatel-Lucent (Euronext Paris and NYSE: ALU) today announced the launch of BlackBerry® Internet Service in the Ukraine for MTS customers. The new BlackBerry® service was deployed in Ukraine by Alcatel-Lucent.

BlackBerry®Internet Service from Research In Motion is now available to contract MTS subscribers both on the MTS-Ukraine network and on roaming partners' EDGE/GPRS networks. It is designed for smaller businesses and individuals, allowing users to access up to 10 supported personal email accounts (including most popular ISP email accounts such as, Yahoo!® Mail and Google™ Mail) from a single device.

To become a BlackBerryInternet Service subscriber it is necessary to buy a BlackBerry® smartphone and to order service activation in an MTS-Ukraine shop. E-mail access can be set up using the smartphone's set-up wizard upon purchase in the shop or through a user-friendly web interface in the section “BlackBerry® from MTS” on:
